CHALLENGE

Friends of Great Kids Farm, Inc. (FGKF) is a nonprofit organization created to support and promote Baltimore City School’s Great Kids Farm. The Farm, occupying 33-acres of abundant fields and forest just west of the city, engages students and their families with good food from farm to fork and prepares them to lead sustainability efforts in their communities. FGKF approached JWatson Creative with a desire to establish a strong brand that would appeal to their target audience of donors looking to fund Great Kids Farm, and audiences looking to learn more about the farm (produce grown, programs offered, impact on children).

SOLUTION

JWatson Creative created the branding, identity pieces, and website for FGKF. We chose a Drupal platform, building first in HTML/CSS, to allow for or clients to have easy access to actively update their website with ongoing news and events. For the branding, we wanted to stick closely to the colors of the Great Kids Farm logo, to allow for that visual connection to be established. But, we also wanted to appear very professional to play an active role in attracting the types of funding they seek for the farm.
