The Baltimore Urban Debate League contacted JWatson Creative in need of an invitation design for their annual gala that highlights the success of their programs throughout the year. In the initial consultation we discovered that they were not completely satisfied with the invitations of previous years because they didn’t capture the energy and personality of their organization.
We decided that the best way to bring out the personality of the Baltimore Urban Debate League is with color! They expressed the desire to have an invitation that visually represented that they work with children, so fun and inviting, but also semi-exclusive for those who receive it.
Through our research in color theory, we developed a palette that was fun, energetic, and made you want to open the invitation. We also created a custom logo for the event, which could be used with additional promotional materials, in print and online. The invitations were a huge success with our client, and they are excited to send them out in the mail.
